SuMaFood presented at the event Business Cooperation on Blue Growth in Europe (10-11 May 2022, Athens, Greece)

SuMaFood was introduced at the event Business Cooperation on Blue Growth in Europe on 10-11 May 2022 in Athens, Greece. The aim and objectives of SumaFood project was presented by Assistant Professor Theofania Tsironi, during the thematic session “Blue Bioeconomy and Algae Production”. The session aimed to discuss how to bring bio-based products, such as algae, seaweed and microorganisms, processes or services to the market.

During the event, the latest expertise, opportunities and ideas for business innovation, green solutions, new technology and alternative energy sources for blue growth were discussed, with representatives from the marine/maritime sectors in 11 countries across Europe. The event aimed to create business in the marine/maritime sector, within the European Economic Area (EEA) and Norway Grants and beyond. Through the Grants, Norway, Iceland and Liechtenstein support 10 programs on Business Development and Innovation with financing for private companies and partners.

The event presented the funding available in 2022. The matchmaking connected partners for bilateral cooperation, within and beyond the ongoing period of the EEA and Norway Grants.
